BANDIPORA: Municipal Council Bandipora observed Swachh Bharat Diwas today with a series of activities, including a cleanliness rally, Swachhata Pledge, plantation drive under “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam,” and a Special Council Meeting, organised under the theme “Swachhata Mein Sahbhag: Swachh Bharat, Viksit Bharat.”

The programme witnessed active participation from municipal officials, elected representatives, civil society members and other stakeholders, who came together to reaffirm their collective commitment towards cleanliness, sanitation and responsible waste management.

The Special Council Meeting provided an opportunity to deliberate on key local sanitation priorities, strengthen community participation and promote collective responsibility for maintaining clean, healthy and sustainable surroundings.

The celebrations highlighted the importance of Jan Bhagidari (people’s participation) and the active involvement of elected representatives and the community in advancing the vision of a Clean, Healthy and Sustainable Bandipora.
