- Listens to public grievances, development demands
DODA: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Krishan Lal today chaired a Public Outreach camp under weekly Block Diwas Programme here at Community Hall Panchayat Hambal-A, Block Khellani to take stock of the developmental concerns and grievances of the residents.
Stalls showcasing government schemes, welfare programmes and public services were established at the venue to facilitate awareness and provide benefits to the general public.
During the programme, the public raised several demands seeking better BSNL connectivity, PHE services, construction of protection walls around school grounds, renovation of the AYUSH Wellness Centre building, upgradation of High Schools to Higher Secondary level, blacktopping of roads, playground facilities, provision of electric poles and adequate staff in schools.
The concerned officers informed the gathering of the action taken on the issues raised. Officers from the Education Department informed that the proposal for upgradation of the mentioned school has already been submitted to the higher authorities for consideration.
Regarding the demand for construction of protection walls, it was informed that the DPR would be forwarded to the concerned XEN for execution as per the prescribed procedure. On issues related to the Kendriya Vidyalaya, the concerned officer informed that the file has been forwarded to the Director’s office for further necessary action.
The R&B Department informed that restoration work on the local road has already commenced, while the PDD apprised the gathering that installation of electricity poles is currently underway.
The DDC assured the public that all remaining grievances would be examined and addressed in a time-bound manner through coordinated efforts of the concerned departments. He stressed the importance of effective implementation of government schemes at the grassroots level and urged officers to remain responsive to public needs.
The DDC also highlighted the importance of collective participation in the TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan and Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, urging the public to actively contribute towards building a healthier and drug-free society. He further emphasized the agricultural potential of the area and called for greater focus on harnessing local agricultural resources to strengthen livelihoods and promote economic development.
Later, the DDC visited Government High School Hambal, where he inspected the school facilities and interacted with the teaching staff and students. The programme was attended by CPO Manesh Kumar, ACD Din Mohd Afaqi, ACP Musharaf Ali Haf, CMO Dr. Vinod Sharma, DSWO Zubair Ahmed, CAO, CAHO, CHO, Tehsildar, BDO, concerned Executive Engineers and JEs, public representatives, PRIs and other concerned officers and officials.
