ANANTNAG: Continuing its efforts to curb the misuse and illegal sale of medicines, J&K Police, in collaboration with the Drug Control Department, conducted inspections of medical shops in the Janglatmandi area of Anantnag.

During the inspection, the teams checked the availability, storage and sale of medicines and reviewed the compliance of medical establishments with the prescribed rules and regulations. The joint inspection forms part of the ongoing enforcement and awareness measures aimed at preventing the diversion and misuse of medicines and ensuring compliance with drug control regulations.

Police reiterated that strict action will be taken against any person found involved in the illegal sale, distribution or misuse of medicines.
