Seminar themed 'Vision of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel towards Viksit Bharat@2047' organised at GCW Gandhinagar

JAMMU: A one-day National Seminar on the theme, “Vision of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel towards Viksit Bharat@2047,” was organized at Sachdev Government College for Women (PSPS GCW), Gandhi Nagar. The Seminar, aimed to commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel, was organised by Range Police Head Quarters Jammu, in collaboration with the management of the Host College and Dean Student Welfare, Cluster University of Jammu (CLUJ) here .

  The event focused on exploring the enduring relevance of Sardar Patel's principles—specifically his emphasis on unity, good governance, and self-reliance—as essential foundational elements for achieving the goal of Viksit Bharat@2047. Program began with a floral welcome of the chief guest, Prof. K.S Chandrasekhar, vice chancellor, CLUJ and Shiv Kumar Sharma (IPS), DIG JKS range followed by floral welcome of Dean Academic Affairs Prof. Twinkle Suri.  Inaugural session began with the tradition of lamp lightning. Dr. Geetanjali Andotra, the Principal of the College presented a formal welcome address.

The Resource Persons Dr. Varun Sharma GCW Udhampur, Dr. Harmeet Singh GDC Katra, Dr. Piyush Kant Sharma GDC Ramnagar shared their views on the vision of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel (Iron Man of India), and his contribution towards the Nation. In his address, while addressing the media gathering and audience present in the program DIG JSK Range  Shiv Kumar Sharma (IPS) shared that the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel made a remarkable contribution in bringing together and uniting India in the wake of Independence his clear vision, selfless approach and devotion to his motherland played a crucial role in merging the different region of the country, forming a modern and United India.

Vice Chancellor of Cluster University of Jammu Prof. (Dr.) K.S Chandra Shekhar also spoke on the occasion. He expressed in detail about the Process of Unification of India after independence and creation of “Akhand Bharat”. He appreciated Prof. (Dr.) Geetanjali Andotra for successful organisation of the event. He also thanked the Jammu and Kashmir Police Dept. for organizing such an event. Mementoes were presented to the dignitaries and organizing committee members.

The Technical session began with the presentation by the students from all the constituent Colleges and Schools of Cluster University who spoke on the important role that Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel played in the unification process of India. Mementoes were presented to all speakers and student coordinators  Lavanya Jamwal, Vice President Presidium and SUO Diksha of 9 J&K Bn. The whole program was coordinated by coordinators, Prof. D.S Manhas, DSW CLUJ, Dr. Rabia Javed, Dean Students Welfare and Prof. Shivani Sharma, Convenor alongwith other committee members in coordination with  Sanjay Kumar Sharma JKPS SSP staff officer to DIG JSK range under civics action program.

Vote of thanks was presented by Prof. Shivani Sharma, Convenor of the seminar and proceedings of the program were carried out by Mahi Gupta. Program was attended by all Deans, directors and principal of constituent Colleges of Cluster University of Jammu, a large number of students, members of presidium and NCC cadets. Hardhik Kumar and Ricky Salotra also present in the venue for smooth conduct of the Program.
