UDHAMPUR: Chief Agriculture Officer Udhampur, Harbans Singh today flagged off an exposure visit of 40 progressive farmers to KVK Pathankot under Centrally sponsored schemes sub Mission on Agriculture Extension under ATMA. The objective of the visit is to acquaint farmers with the latest innovations and technological interventions in the field of agriculture.

During the visit, the farmers will gain first-hand experience through demonstrations, field experiments and trials conducted by Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Pathankot. The participants will also have the opportunity to interact with scientists and extension experts, thereby broadening their understanding of modern agricultural practices, including organic farming, eco-friendly pest management, water-efficient techniques and climate-resilient cropping systems.

On the occasion, Chief Agriculture Officer was accompanied by Vinod Gupta, Mushroom Development Officer, Pawan Talwar, Apiculture Development Officer and other officers of the department. He encouraged the farmers to make the best use of this opportunity and adopt the latest technologies to enhance productivity and profitability in their respective fields. The exposure visit aims to build the capacity of farmers by promoting knowledge exchange, innovation adoption and sustainable agricultural development in the district.
