ANANTNAG:  Continuing its commitment towards community welfare and social responsibility, J&K Police organized two free medical camps under the banner of “Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan” at Kheribal Mattan and Pahalgam, as part of its Civic Action Programme.

The medical camps were set up with the aim of providing basic health care services to the local population, while also raising awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse. A team of qualified doctors and paramedical staff offered free consultation, diagnosis, and distribution of essential medicines to hundreds of beneficiaries in both locations.

Locals, including senior citizens, women, and children, turned out in large numbers and expressed their appreciation for the initiative. Special sessions were held to educate the youth about the dangers of substance abuse and to encourage a healthy and productive lifestyle.

Senior police officers from the district supervised the arrangements and reiterated the police department’s commitment to work hand-in-hand with the community in eradicating the drug menace from society. J&K Police continues to engage proactively with the community through various outreach programs, staying aligned with the vision of a “Nasha Mukt Bharat” (Drug-Free India).
