DODA: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Doda Harvinder Singh today inaugurated a Resource Persons and Teachers Training Programme here at Government Higher Secondary School (Boys) under Catch Up (TaRL) Programme. The Catch Up (TaRL) is an initiative to address fundamental literacy and numeracy gaps in primary school children through Right Level (TaRL) methodology.
The Training programme has been jointly organized by the Directorate of Samagra Shiksha, Jammu & Kashmir and Directorate of School Education, Jammu in collaboration with the Pratham Education Foundation.
After the inauguration, the Deputy Commissioner interacted with the participating Resource Persons and Teachers, appreciating their commitment towards improving foundational learning outcomes among students. He emphasized the importance of innovative teaching methods and collaborative learning to strengthen the education system in the district.
The programme aims to enhance the teaching-learning process through the Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) approach, ensuring that every child attains age-appropriate learning competencies.
The event was attended by the Chief Education Officer Iqbal Hussain; DEPO Anees Ahmed; the Principal of the host school Rishi Kumar; Sr. Lecturer English Mussarat Jahan Mintoo (DNO) besides participants who joined the session online.
