- MS urges affected individuals to seek help
BANDIPORA: District Hospital Bandipora has intensified its outreach and awareness activities to inform the general public about the availability of dedicated Addiction Treatment Facility (ATF) services aimed at combating the challenge of substance abuse in the district. The hospital administration has urged individuals and families affected by drug addiction to come forward and avail the treatment, counseling, and rehabilitation support available at the facility.
The Medical Superintendent, District Hospital Bandipora, said that the ATF provides a safe and confidential environment where patients receive comprehensive medical care and psychological support from trained professionals. To facilitate easy access, the hospital has made available a helpline number (+91 1954 317975) for addiction-related consultations and appointments. The helpline remains operational between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM on all working days.
The Medical Superintendent further informed that the hospital also offers referral services for patients who require advanced or specialized treatment at tertiary care institutions. The initiative is part of the hospital’s ongoing efforts to strengthen community health awareness and promote a collective response against substance abuse. Citizens have been urged to join hands in spreading the message that addiction is treatable and recovery is achievable through timely medical and emotional support.
