JAMMU: BJP State Secretary Jammu and Kashmir, Pawan Sharma has launched a blistering attack on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, accusing him of consistently insulting India and undermining the nation’s image at home and abroad. Sharma said that Rahul Gandhi has developed a disturbing pattern—whether in India or overseas—of ridiculing Bharat, spreading negativity, and demoralizing its citizens.
“Rahul Gandhi has made it his habit to demean India wherever he goes. Instead of acting as a responsible leader, he chooses to echo the narratives of India’s adversaries,” said Pawan Sharma, condemning the Congress leader’s latest remarks. “At Cambridge, in Washington, or even within our own borders, his tone and language mirror those who seek to weaken and divide Bharat. Such behavior is not mere immaturity—it is a direct affront to the dignity of the nation.”
Sharma said that Rahul Gandhi’s repeated statements are not just political criticisms but calculated attempts to malign India’s global reputation. “When the world is applauding India’s rise under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visionary leadership, Rahul Gandhi stands isolated—mocking the very nation whose progress he should be proud of. At a time when India is marching towards the goal of becoming a developed nation by 2047, Rahul Gandhi seems determined to stall that march with his cynical and defeatist mindset,” Sharma remarked.
Highlighting the contrast between constructive politics and Rahul Gandhi’s approach, Sharma asserted that democracy allows dissent, but not disgrace. “Criticizing a government is every citizen’s right, but insulting "Bharat Mata" is unforgivable. When Rahul Gandhi maligns India, he insults our soldiers who guard the borders, our scientists who launch satellites, our farmers who feed the nation, and our youth who build its future. His words are an insult to every proud Indian,” Sharma said.
Pawan Sharma demanded that Rahul Gandhi immediately tender an unconditional apology to the people of India for his repeated attempts to tarnish the country’s image. “If Rahul Gandhi truly respects democracy, he must apologize to 140 crore Indians for betraying their trust and defaming their nation. Otherwise, history will remember him as a politician who stood not with India, but against India,” Sharma declared.
“India’s honor is sacred and non-negotiable. Those who repeatedly insult Bharat Mata must face the democratic wrath of the people. The awakened citizens of this great nation will not forgive those who side with India’s critics. Rahul Gandhi must introspect, apologize, and reform—or be prepared for permanent rejection by the people he continues to insult," Sharma concluded.
