DODA: As part of the ongoing Seva Parv 2025 and its connected campaigns, the line departments and institutions organised a series of impactful programmes across Doda District to promote public welfare and health, spread environmental awareness and community engagement. 

Special health services were provided to locals under the Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan at Primary health Centres (PHC)s in Gandoh, Goha – Assar, Chinta and Bhagwah in Bhaderwah Tehsil. Teams of Doctors conducted ANC check-up, NCD screening, spread anemia awareness, sputum collection and vaccination of children against different diseases. A special lecture on menstrual hygiene was also delivered at Government Higher Secondary School Goha by Dr Taniya and Dr Manjeet Singh.

The RBST Team of Gandoh organized a similar health camp at Sanai Gandoh where students underwent health check-ups and made aware of  different government schemes.  Educational institutions including Government Higher Secondary Schools Assar, Doda and Goha conducted awareness programmes on the theme “Say No to Drugs/Tobacco.  Students participated actively delivering speeches besides taking part in debate, poster making and essay writing competitions to spread word of awareness about the harmful effects of drug and tobacco use. The programmes concluded with collective pledges by students and staff to adopt a healthy and drug-free lifestyle.

As part of health and community initiatives, the ICDS Department   celebrated Poshan Maah and planted trees under the Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam initiative to promote nutrition, healthy living, and sustainability.  The District Information Centre carried out a cleanliness drive within office premises to promote hygiene and environmental awareness.

Additionally, community and rural development activities were organized by the Sheep Husbandry Department, Panchayats and Municipal authorities. These included Gram Sabhas on financial inclusion, farmer training workshops on modern sheep rearing, cleanliness drives at Doda town bus stand and sports stadiums, and plantation drives at Nasga Forest Bhaderwah. Relief support was also extended to flood-affected families by the DDC Doda during the visit to Bhalla Tehsil. Collectively, these initiatives reinforced the administration’s commitment to public welfare, sustainable development and active citizen participation under the spirit of Seva Parv 2025.
