JAMMU: The School of Business Studies, Central University of Jammu organized a warm Induction Programme “Deeksharambh-2025,” to welcome the incoming batch of MBA and Integrated BBA-MBA students at  Brigadier Rajinder Singh Auditorium, Central University of Jammu. The programme was aimed to acquaint students with the academic ethos of the University as well as opportunities in the corporate sector.

The ceremony commenced with the floral tribute to the War Heroes and invoking the Goddess Saraswati. Prof. Jaya Bhasin, former Dean, School of Business Studies and Head, Department of HRM & OB, welcomed the august gathering, extending greetings to the students and highlighting the academic ethos of the institution.

Prof. Sanjeev Jain, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Central University of Jammu delivered the presidential address where he spoke about the transformative role of Artificial Intelligence in redefining business and education, urging students to become tech-enabled leaders with a strong ethical foundation. He strongly emphasized the role of values towards building a strong foundation for self and Nation at large.

The program featured insightful addresses by distinguished guests. The Chief Guest, Mr. Jagdish Singh, JKAS, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Samba, delivered a powerful and inspiring address to the newly admitted students. He emphasized the timeless values of discipline, integrity, and dedication to public service, urging the young learners to cultivate these traits from the very beginning of their academic journey.

Drawing from his rich administrative experience, he shared real-life examples of eminent leaders who rose to prominence not merely through talent, but through consistent effort and strong moral conduct. He encouraged the students to set clear goals, remain grounded in humility, and work with sincerity, assuring them that success naturally follows those who stay committed to their principles. His words left a profound impact on the audience, instilling a sense of purpose and responsibility in the future professionals.

Sh. Sanjay Puri, Chairman & Managing Director, PBI (India) Private Limited, captivated the audience with his insightful address. He narrated his professional journey, highlighting the milestones, challenges, and learnings that shaped his path. He urged the students to approach their academic pursuits with clarity of purpose, dedication, and resilience.

Emphasizing the importance of continuous learning and ethical leadership, he encouraged them to transform every opportunity into a stepping stone toward success. Following this, Ms. Urmil Lata, Deputy General Manager, NABARD J&K, delivered an enlightening session on the pivotal role of rural credit in nation-building. She elaborated on the frameworks of agricultural lending and funding mechanisms, and explained how financial inclusion empowers grassroots communities. She also shed light on the current challenges faced in the agricultural and rural financing ecosystem, inspiring students to explore impactful careers in the development and banking sectors

Prof. Neelika Arora, Dean, School of Business Studies, delivered the formal Vote of Thanks, emphasizing the importance of dynamic leadership and emotional resilience in today’s competitive landscape. She also urged students to walk on the path of truthfulness and integrity as the foundation for both academic and professional success.

As part of the ceremony, Induction Kits were distributed to the newly inducted students by the dignitaries. The event concluded with the National Anthem, resonating with pride and unity. The event was attended by all the esteemed faculty members of the School of Business Studies. The Stage was conducted by Ms. Sumiran Maheshwari, Research Scholar of School of Business Studies. The program successfully set a positive and inspiring tone for the academic journey, seamlessly blending tradition with a futuristic vision.
