JAMMU: Rangyug - Theatre for Social Change and Self-Realisation, in collaboration with 92.7 BIG FM through their initiative Hands For Humanity, is organising a special charity show of its acclaimed Dogri play “Chanchlo”, featuring RJ Dr. Juhie Mohan from BIG FM in support of the victims of the recent floods in Jammu.
Directed by veteran theatre personality Deepak Kumar and adapted into Dogri by RJ Dr. Juhie Mohan from Nadira Zaheer Babbar’s celebrated Hindi play Sakubai, Chanchlo has been hailed for its powerful storytelling and emotional depth. RJ Dr. Juhie’s commanding performance has captivated audiences across Jammu, leaving them spellbound with her portrayal of resilience and struggle.
The upcoming show at Abhinav Theatre will be held on 20th September 2025, with donor tickets, and the proceeds will go towards relief for flood-affected families in Jammu & Kashmir. However, those unable to purchase donor tickets are also welcome to watch the play, as Rangyug wishes everyone to be part of this meaningful theatrical journey.
Speaking about the initiative, Deepak Kumar, Director Rangyug, said:“Chanchlo is a voice of the marginalised, a mirror to society. We are dedicating this special performance to support families affected by the recent floods. Theatre, when connected to compassion, becomes a true force for change.”
Rangyug warmly invites theatre lovers, students, families and members of the cultural fraternity of Jammu to witness this performance of Chanchlo on 20th September at Abhinav Theatre and extend their support to this noble cause.
