JAMMU: The 3R Centre (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) was inaugurated today at the Central University of Jammu under the patronage of the Honorable Vice Chancellor, Prof. Sanjeev Jain, as part of the Swachhata Hi Seva (SHS) 2025 campaign.

The Centre, established within the Department of Environmental Sciences, will serve as a permanent gallery showcasing innovative products created from used and repurposed materials under the theme Swachh Utsav.

Appreciating the creativity of students and faculty, the Vice Chancellor Prof. Sanjeev Jain emphasized the potential of the Centre to grow into a Skill Development Hub. He further encouraged the use of locally available raw materials to develop sustainable and community-driven products.

Both undergraduate and postgraduate students of the department actively contributed to the event. Campaign members Dr. Neeta, Dr. Princy, and Dr. Amita were present, along with faculty members Prof. D. Pathania, Dr. Shweta Yadav, Dr. Ankit Tandon, and Prof. Richa Kothari.The smooth execution of the programme was ensured by Arkadeep, Manthan, Manya, Sammi.

This initiative reflects the University’s commitment to sustainability and aligns with the vision of a cleaner, greener India under Swachhata Hi Seva 2025.
