REASI: The District Administration Reasi today successfully conducted Jan Sunwai across all 44 Adi Sewa Kendras of the district under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner Nidhi Malik.  This programme forms part of the first nationwide Jan Sunwai being held in 56,000+ Adi Sewa Kendras across the country under Janjatiya Gaurav Varsh.

These Jan Sunwai camps aimed to strengthen participatory community engagement by directly listening to tribal communities and understanding their developmental priorities. Teams interacted with residents across all locations to review the on-ground implementation of DAJGUA, Adi Karamyogi Abhiyan and other tribal-focused schemes, while also documenting community expectations for improved service delivery.

Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner Nidhi Malik said that Jan Sunwai provides an essential platform for tribal communities to voice their aspirations. “The insights shared today will guide us in refining the implementation of welfare initiatives and ensuring that development reaches every household with transparency and accountability,” she added.

The initiative witnessed active participation from PRI representatives, SHGs, youth clubs, Adi Karamyogi cadres and local community institutions. The programme also serves as a precursor to the Special Gram Sabha and the national celebrations on 15th November, marking Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas.
