RAMBAN: As part of the nationwide initiative ‘Aap ki Poonji, Aap Ka Adhikar initiative, the Lead District Manager (LDM) Ramban is going to organize a special camp to facilitate the disbursement of unclaimed deposits on December 5, 2025.
The Camp is being held in the Community Hall from 11:00 AM in the presence of representatives from the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), LIC, major financial institutions, District Administration, banks and J&K UTLBC. The people across the district have been encouraged via BLBC meetings, Financial Literacy Camps and various outreach initiatives to participate in the programme.
A key highlight of the camp will be awareness about the UDGAM (Unclaimed Deposits – Gateway to Access Information) portal, introduced by the RBI. The portal allows individuals to search for unclaimed deposits across multiple banks through a single platform, verify dormant or inoperative accounts, and identify deposits belonging to them or their legal heirs or nominees.
Attendees will also get hands-on assistance in using the UDGAM portal. They are advised to carry valid ID proof and documents related to deposits or insurance policies. On-the-spot disbursement of verified claims will be facilitated. The Lead District Manager has urged the public to participate in the camp and benefit from this important initiative.
