JAMMU: J&K BJP Spokesperson Dr. Hari Dutt Shishu while welcoming this historic decision changing the names of PMO to Seva Tirath and Raj Bhawan to Lok Bhawan of JK, said that it actually reflects the basic spirit of the democracy and the vision of our Prime Minister, whose basic principle of governance is Jan seva and every of his actions is in tandem with the core philosophy of BJP, where the Nation Is First, Party Second And Self Always Last.
The Union Government during its tenure in the last one and half decade have taken series of such decisions, which give a sense of pride and invoke Indianization over the British psyche that was still prevalent in many facets of the Government after six decades of independence, said Dr. Hari Dutt Shishu in a press statement.
The change in the nomenclature of Raj Bhawan Jammu and Kashmir to Lok Bhawan and Raj Niwas Ladakh into Lok Niwas is as per the directive issued by the ministry of Home affairs of GOI to all States and UTs to rename the Raj Bhawan which is aimed to shed every mark attached to colonial era, stated Dr. Shishu.
This change reflects the cultural shift and an attempt to reconnect our historical values aiming to prioritize Service over Authority, duty over rights and people over Government. It is the part of corrective measures which the present regime has been taking to make the system not only people friendly in governance but to make a feeling of self-pride and creating a sense of belongingness in the public for their government and its system, said Dr. Hari Dutt Shishu.
Renaming the Rajpath in New Delhi into Lokpath and PM official residence into Lok Kalyan Marg were the part of the same strategy to invoke a sense of service for the nation and also to shed all kind of colonial and authoritarian reflections on the Government, which is always for the people, of the people and by the people and symbolizes the vision of our PM for Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas and Sabka Saath, said Dr Hari Dutt Shishu.
