The event aimed to pay tribute to the Iron Man of India, whose vision and leadership played a pivotal role in the unification of the country.
In Handwara Essay Competitions were organized at Government High School Nowgam Qalamabad and Government Boys Higher Secondary School Vilgam. The competitions were aimed at encouraging young minds to express their thoughts on the Role of Police in Society and to promote awareness about the importance of law, discipline, and civic responsibility among students. A large number of students participated in these events. Officers from Handwara Police interacted with the students and faculty members, highlighting the vision of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. Prizes and certificates of appreciation were distributed among the winners and participants to recognize their efforts and participation.
Meanwhile, Police in Anantnag organised a vibrant Cultural Programme at Town Hall, Achabal. The programme featured a range of performances including patriotic songs, skits, and cultural dances by local artists and students from nearby educational institutions. Speaking on the occasion, senior police officers highlighted the life and contributions of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and underscored the importance of unity, integrity, and national integration – values that Patel stood for throughout his life.
Moreover, another cultural programme was organized by Police in Shopian at Townhall Shopian. The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from youth, senior citizens, and police officers/officials. Senior officers including Addl. SP Shopian Sh. Rameez Rashid Bhat-JKPS and DySP Hqrs Shopian Sh. Imtiyaz Ahmad-JKPS graced the occasion. Participants presented a series of cultural performances and speeches highlighting national integration, social harmony, and the pivotal role of police in maintaining peace and public order.
