JAMMU: A thematic session under the ongoing Civil–Military Fusion Capsule, Jammu 2025 was conducted today at IIM Jammu on the topic “Technical Infusion for Military Capability Enhancement – Focus on Niche and Contemporary Technologies.” The event aimed at strengthening collaboration between the armed forces, academia, civil administration, and security agencies to drive innovation and enhance national defence preparedness.
The session witnessed participation from the Army, the CRPF, IIM Jammu, IIT Jammu, and representatives from the District Administration Jammu, J&K Police, and SIB. Eminent speakers from the Army and IIM Jammu delivered insightful talks on integrating cutting-edge technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Drones, and Cyber Systems into operational frameworks to enhance combat effectiveness and efficiency.
Deliberations also highlighted the importance of public–private partnership, academic collaboration and technological adaptation to build a self-reliant and agile defence ecosystem in line with the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat. The session concluded with an interactive discussion emphasizing the vital role of continuous dialogue and innovation between military establishments and knowledge institutions to develop futuristic solutions for India’s evolving security landscape.
