IIM Jammu welcomes students from Army Public School Miran Sahib and Gurukul Public Higher Secondary School Reasi for an academic visit and campus tour

JAMMU: IIM Jammu hosted an academic visit and campus tour for students from Army Public School Miran Sahib and Gurukul Public Higher Secondary School Reasi on 5^th Dec 2025. The delegation from Army Public School included 46 students from Classes XI to XII, accompanied by Ms. Jaspreet Kaur and Ms. Shivali Kumati. Gurukul Public Higher Secondary School Reasiwas represented by 26 students from Class XI and XII, accompanied by Shri Jawahar Pandita, Chairman and Principal along with their two teachers, Ms. Pratibha Jamwal and Mr. Vishal Kumar.

The students and teachers received a warm welcome at IIM Jammu, beginning their visit at the iconic Clock Tower, followed by a comprehensive campus tour covering the Grand Reception Area, Mandapam Auditorium, Vedanta MDP Block, Smart Classrooms, Nalanda Library, Rangmanch Amphitheatre, Jalpan Kendra. At the Vedanta MDP Centre, they were briefed on IIM Jammu’s Executive Education and Consultancy Division and its training programsThey also observed the detailed campus-scale model, showcasing the institute’s world-class infrastructure and future expansion plans.

During the academic interaction, the delegation learned about IIM Jammu’s diverse academic programs and its Centres of Excellence that promote innovation, research, and social impact. The visit to the Nalanda Library, equipped with digital resources, advanced reading spaces, and Bloomberg Terminals for real-time financial analysis, highlighted the institute’s commitment to global education standards.

They also viewed audio-visual films depicting IIM Jammu’s journey since its inception in 2016, its rise in academic excellence, and its contribution to nation-building. The visitors explored IIM Jammu’s official website and social media platforms, encouraging continuous engagement with the institute’s latest developments in admissions, scholarships, and student initiatives.

The students and teachers were also informed about IIM Jammu’s dual international accreditations, BGA Institutional Accreditation and EFMD Programme Accreditation for its MBA program, placing it among the top five IIMs in India with such distinction and the only second- and third-generation IIM to attain it. IIM Jammu is now progressing toward AACSB Accreditation, which will place it among the global elite Triple Crown Accredited business schools.

The visit concluded with an interactive session where the students engaged with IIM Jammu representatives on opportunities in management, entrepreneurship, finance, analytics, and leadership. The interaction also highlighted IIM Jammu’s ongoing efforts to build strong community engagement and contribute to development across the Himalayan region. The visit, along with the briefing on various academic programmes and career counselling, was coordinated by the Media and Publication Division, IIM Jammu.
