KUPWARA: The District Level Implementation Committee (DLIC) for Mission Yuva was chaired by Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Shrikant Suse, today and approved 296 applications for establishment of self employment generating units.  This initiative aims to empower young entrepreneurs by providing them with financial assistance and capacity-building support to start and sustain their businesses, thereby fostering economic growth and employment opportunities.

During the meeting, the Committee conducted a thorough review and scrutiny of applications submitted by young aspirants. After threadbare discussion, the Committee approved 296 eligible cases for financial support and mentorship, paving the way for these budding entrepreneurs to turn their business ideas into reality.

The Deputy Commissioner emphasized the pivotal role of Mission YUVA in unlocking the potential of local youth and enabling them to build sustainable livelihoods. He directed the concerned departments to intensify awareness campaigns and outreach programs to encourage more eligible youth as well as SHGs as part of Udyam Jagruti 4.0.

The Deputy Commissioner also reviewed the performance of bank branches in disbursement of sanctioned cases as well as sanctioning and directed to expedite the process. He also directed the concerned departments for conducting mission yuva Melas for awareness cum enrolment drive plus loan disbursal in every week at field level for covering the local unemployed youth under the ambit of Mission Yuva. The meeting was attended by ADDC Kupwara and other members and representatives of DLIC.
