KISHTWAR: Under the directions of Deputy Commissioner Pankaj Kumar Sharma, a Road Safety Awareness Programme was organised today at Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV), Kishtwar. The Programme was organised by the Motor Vehicles Department in collaboration with the Traffic Police and 07 Assam Rifles, to sensitise students to road safety and responsible road behaviour.

More than 500 students and teachers participated in the programme. They were educated about traffic rules, road signs, the importance of wearing helmets and seat belts, avoiding over speeding and adopting safe road practices.

The programme was attended by Dy. SP Traffic Shoket Ali; Captain 07 Assam Rifles Aditya Sharma; DTI Sandeep Parihar and MVI Robin Parihar. They highlighted the importance of promoting road safety awareness among students and encouraging them to become road safety ambassadors in their families and communities.
