• Officers laud his Visionary Leadership, People-Centric Governance

PULWAMA: District Administration Pulwama today organised a warm farewell function in honour of the outgoing Deputy Commissioner, Dr. Basharat Qayoom, on his transfer as Commissioner, Srinagar Municipal Corporation.

The function was attended by the Additional District Development Commissioner, Pulwama; Additional Deputy Commissioner, Pulwama; Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Pulwama; Chief Planning Officer, Pulwama; Sub-Divisional Magistrates (SDMs); all Tehsildars; representatives of the Trade Federation; social activists; and officers and officials from various departments.

During the occasion, several senior officers shared their experiences of working under the leadership of Dr. Basharat Qayoom and appreciated his commitment, efficiency and people-centric approach. They remarked that he discharged his responsibilities with utmost sincerity, dedication and professionalism, ensuring that administrative tasks were handled effectively and within stipulated timelines.

His ability to maintain transparency and responsiveness, coupled with strong inter-departmental coordination, was widely acknowledged and appreciated. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Qayoom expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the entire district administration team for its constant support, dedication and cooperation throughout his tenure in Pulwama.

He acknowledged the valuable contributions of officers and officials at every level, stating that the achievements during his tenure were the result of collective efforts rather than individual merit. He also extended his sincere thanks to the people of Pulwama for their warmth, trust and cooperation throughout his tenure.

The event concluded on a heartfelt note, with officers and officials extending their warm wishes and expressing gratitude to the outgoing Deputy Commissioner. They also conveyed their sincere prayers for his continued success and well-being in his new assignment.
