AWANTIPORA:  Continuing its drive against illegal mining, J&K Police seized three vehicles, including two tippers and one tractor, in separate actions within the jurisdiction of Police District Awantipora.

A police party from Police Station Awantipora, headed by SHO PS Awantipora, seized two tippers found involved in illegal mining in the Awantipora area. In a separate action, a police party from Police Post Toll Plaza, led by In-charge PP Toll Plaza, seized one tractor involved in illegal mining.  Accordingly, cases have been registered at Police Station Awantipora, and investigation  has been taken up.

Police reiterates its firm commitment to curb illegal mining and take strict legal action against those found violating the law. The public is urged to cooperate with the Police in safeguarding natural resources and preventing illegal extraction of minerals.
