KULGAM: Police in Kulgam conducted a counter-terrorism mock drill at the famous Aharbal Tourist Destination to assess operational readiness, response preparedness and inter-agency coordination in a simulated security scenario.

The mock drill conducted under the close supervision of SSP Kulgam was led by DySP Operations Manzgam and involved SHO Manzgam, SOG Manzgam, Markhor Manzgam and CRPF 18 Battalion. The exercise aimed to evaluate the preparedness of security personnel to respond swiftly and effectively to any potential security threat at the tourist destination.

The drill also focused on strengthening coordination and communication among the participating agencies, ensuring a prompt and coordinated response during any emergency situation.

Police reiterated its commitment to ensuring the safety and security of tourists as well as the general public, while maintaining a robust security environment at important tourist destinations across the district.
