SRINAGAR: To review the physical and financial progress achieved under various Centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSS), Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP), JKCIP, flagship programmes and the CAPEX budget, Director Agriculture Kashmir, Sartaj Ahmad Shah, today chaired a meeting of Chief Agriculture Officers of Srinagar, Pulwama, Budgam and Ganderbal along with Drawing and Disbursing Officers (DDOs) at Directorate of Agriculture Kashmir, Lalmandi, Srinagar.

During the meeting, the Director took a detailed assessment of the progress made under various departmental schemes and programmes, with particular focus on the pace of implementation and financial expenditure. He reviewed the status of ongoing activities and emphasized the need for timely execution of approved works and achievement of targets within the stipulated timelines.

The Director directed all concerned officers to ensure effective implementation of schemes as per the approved action plan for the current year and maintain close coordination with field functionaries for timely delivery of benefits to farmers. He stressed upon the officers to regularly monitor both physical and financial progress and ensure optimum utilization of allocated funds.

The meeting also discussed various issues affecting the implementation of departmental programmes, with the Director calling for prompt resolution of bottlenecks and strict adherence to prescribed guidelines and timelines.

The Director reiterated that the department remains committed to ensuring efficient implementation of all farmer-oriented schemes and programmes and strengthening service delivery to the farming community across Kashmir Division.
