REASI: The week-long “Vande Mataram” Phase-1 celebrations concluded today in Reasi district amid great patriotic fervour and enthusiastic participation from students and educational institutions. The celebrations, held from October 7 to October 14, featured a series of cultural and awareness activities across the district aimed at promoting national pride and unity.

Throughout the week, various departments—including the School Education Department, Forest Department, RDD and Youth Services & Sports—conducted debates, patriotic song competitions, painting events and awareness programmes centred on the significance of Vande Mataram.

Marking the grand culmination of the celebration, a short documentary on Vande Mataram and a group rendition of the song were screened for students from various schools and colleges at the auditorium of the DC Office Complex, Reasi. The special screening witnessed the participation of around 500 students, who attended the event with enthusiasm and keen interest.

The district administration reiterated its commitment to organising such initiatives that foster national spirit and community involvement. PO POSHAN Surdershan Kumar, CEO Reasi Deepak Gupta, DIO Ujwal Sambyal and other officers were also present on the occasion.
