JAMMU: Kendriya Vidyalaya, Central University of Jammu, celebrated a momentous occasion with the inauguration of its newly constructed prefabricated building. The event was graced by Prof. Sanjeev Jain, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor of the Central University of Jammu and Chairman of the Vidyalaya Management Committee (VMC), who attended as the Chief Guest and inaugurated the new facility.
Among the distinguished guests present were Dr. Naresh Kumar Sharma, Assistant Professor, CU Jammu and nominated Chairman of the School Management Committee; Prof. Uday Pratap, Associate Dean Academics; Sh. Vikas Gupta, Assistant Registrar; Dr. Rajan Badyal, Public Relations Officer; and Sh. Vishal Bagotra, Extension Officer, CU Jammu.
The programme commenced with traditional Swastivachan and Sanskrit hymns, invoking auspicious blessings, followed by a vibrant Dogri dance performance by the students, reflecting the rich cultural heritage of the region. The school management extended heartfelt gratitude to the Chief Guest and other dignitaries by presenting mementoes of appreciation, expressing their sincere hope that their continued guidance and encouragement will keep inspiring the institution in the years ahead.
In his address to the teachers and students, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Sanjeev Jain shared words of wisdom and motivation. He emphasized the importance of imbibing high moral values such as patriotism, respect for elders, environmental consciousness, and selfless service. Prof. Jain further underlined that discipline, hard work, and a positive outlook are the true foundations of success in life.
Encouraging students to strive for excellence, he urged them to focus on quality education and holistic development, shaping themselves into responsible and compassionate citizens of the nation. On this occasion, Prof. Jain also announced the provision of computers to establish a computer laboratory within the school premises—an initiative aimed at enhancing digital learning opportunities for students.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Mr. Ajit Kumar, Principal, Kendriya Vidyalaya, who expressed heartfelt gratitude to all the guests, faculty, staff, and students for their enthusiastic participation and contribution to making the event a resounding success.
