NOWSHERA:  A three-day Training-cum-Exposure Visit for farmers of Nowshera and Sunderbani zones was today flagged off by Additional Deputy Commissioner Pritam Lal Thapa. The tour consisting of 22 farmers has been organised by the Department of Horticulture under the Centrally Sponsored Scheme ATMA (Agricultural Technology Management Agency) 2025–26.

During the tour, the farmers will visit several key horticultural establishments in Jammu including Mega Fruit Plant Nursery, RS Pura Chakroi, Government Fruit Plant Nursery & Grape Farm, Maralia, Government Fruit Plant Nursery, Mishriwala & Chief Canning and Processing Unit Chand Nagar, Jammu.

Thereafter the farmers would visit the Horticulture Museum Talab Tillo Jammu. The exposure visit will also feature interactive sessions, expert lectures and technical discussions designed to enhance farmers' understanding of advanced cultivation techniques, fruit nursery management and orchard development practices.

Horticulture Development Officer Sonam Sharma and   Horticulture Development Officer Sunderbani Richa Sharma are accompanying the visiting farmers. The tour will conclude on October 17, 2025, after the visit to the Government Fruit Plant Nursery, Mishriwala, followed by the return of participants to Rajouri.
