VIJAYPUR: MY Bharat – Jammu (Mera Yuva Bharat) Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India, in collaboration with the Nations Development Association (NDA), successfully organized the Cluster of Block Level Sports Meet at Vijaypur Block on 13–14 November. The two-day programme witnessed remarkable participation from youth, sports enthusiasts, and local representatives, reflecting a growing interest in grassroots sports development across the region.
The event featured a vibrant lineup of sports activities, including running, tug of war, volleyball, and multiple track-and-field competitions aimed at enhancing physical fitness, unity, and competitive spirit among young participants. The atmosphere remained energetic throughout, with teams from various panchayats showcasing their athletic skills and sportsmanship.
Addressing the gathering, Sushil Singh Charak highlighted the pivotal role of My Bharat in shaping the future of young citizens by promoting sports, leadership, and character-building initiatives. He stated that My Bharat Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, is committed to empowering youth with meaningful platforms that encourage active participation, discipline, and team spirit. He also acknowledged the contribution of the Nations Development Association (NDA) for its consistent support in strengthening youth engagement programmes.
Charak further emphasized that sports not only foster physical well-being but also instill values of determination, respect, and cooperation qualities essential for the holistic development of young people. He urged local youth to take full advantage of such initiatives and pursue sports with dedication and passion. The event concluded with the distribution of appreciation certificates and acknowledgements to participants, volunteers, coordinators, and partnering organizations whose collective efforts ensured the smooth execution and success of the sports meet. My Bharat Jammu continues its mission to promote sports culture, identify young talent, and encourage youth-led development across the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir.
