JAMMU: A Musical Evening in Jammu Turns ‘Vande Mataram’ into a Living Canvas of Art, Patriotism and Hope under the gentle presence of "The Delphic Council of Jammu and Kashmir", a serene evening unfolded today at the calm and quiet JDA Park, Roop Nagar, Muthi, Jammu (J&K) where 150 years of Vande Mataram were brought down to earth like a living poem.
The soft melodies floating in the air felt as if they were touching the feet of the motherland, while artists offered their devotion through the language of colors, rhythms, and emotions. As the event began with an instrumental rendition of Vande Mataram, it felt as though the earth and sky together were bowing to Bharat Mata. The notes of traditional Indian instruments were gentle yet strong enough to fill the entire park with a subtle glow of patriotism. In that atmosphere, dance and fine arts transformed the old tune of Vande Mataram into a new, sensitive experience, as if an old song had been gifted a new soul.
The charm of Swaranjali (A Musical Eve) deepened even more when it was shared that a three-day Inter-State Cultural Festival had just been successfully concluded in Srinagar in collaboration with JKAACL. Today’s evening felt like a sweet and meaningful milestone of that cultural journey. The chief guest at the event was Sh. Sham Lal Sharma, MLA Jammu North and former Minister, J&K State, graced the occasion and Sh. Brij Mohan Sharma-IFS, Principal Secretary, Department of Culture, J&K attended the event as Guest of Honour.
The stage also welcomed several special guests, a renowned vocalist Sh. Suraj Singh, author and actor Sh. Rameshwar Singh Raju, Sh. Rahul Dev Singh Salathia, noted drilling contractor of J&K, Sh. Parveen Sharma, a noted Dogra, Senior Journalist, and respected Volleyball Coach S. Amarjeet Singh. Er. Ashok Singh, President of the Delphic Council of Jammu and Kashmir, expressed with simple yet deeply sincere words that the Council is committed to guide the youth to Say No TO DRUGS-YES TO LIFE through the strength of Arts and Culture.
He explained that the Council will reach out to the Schools across every district of Jammu and Kashmir for engaging Students in Inter-School Delphic Club Activities, and also through Inter-State Children Delphic Clubs Film Festivals, and stressed that the Children should be engaged in Arts & Culture so that their brain should think positive and to achieve progress in their lives.
More than 400 gathered attended the Swaranjali in the JDA Park wherein Senior Citizens, members of the Morning Walkers Welfare Association JDA Park, Writers, Artists, Doctors, Engineers, Students—all seemed united in a single rhythm. The list of attendees was long, but the sentiment was one: to make this land more beautiful and to shape the coming generations into sensitive and aware individuals through culture and art. This evening was not just an event but it was a gentle and fragrant message where songs, colors, and culture hold hands, society naturally begins to walk toward a brighter futurist plans through Arts and Culture.
