JAMMU: In a press conference of the Sabha wherein all executive members of adhoc body with its Convenor Er. R.C. Bhasin, prominent biradari members, and heads of different branches, informed that the Central Sabha since the inception of Adhoc Body has not only got extensive renovation work of the Sabha premises but has ventured into social service and support to the poor in the Biradri.

It was informed that the biradri set aside dispute between two factions of the Sabha by constituting an Adhoc Working Committee of All J&K Guru Ravidass Sabha Krishna Nagar, Jammu on 29.12.2024 through the General Body Meet/Ajlas as per the Constitution of the Sabha with an intent to streamline and elect the new permanent body of the Sabha in due course of time.

The adhoc committee since then is working with utmost dedication, devotion and organized a grand Shoba Yatra and celebrated Parkash Utsav of Shree Guru Ravidass Ji Maharaj with active support from all the branches and whole biradari.

It is pertinent to mention here that ousted President and his team kept nothing (cash and other related record of the Sabha) in the Sabha premises and rather withdrew more than two lac rupees one day before he was ousted by the biradri in the General Ijlas, in addition to more than two lac rupees cash he collected from the community to celebrate Parkash Divas of Guru Ravidass ji Maharaj.  All attempts of request to him to return the public money back to the present committee for smooth functioning of the Sabha have failed and instead he has also involved the adhoc committee in uncalled for litigations thereby delaying the process of completion of elections.

The sabha went all out to help the flood victims by distributing three consignments of essential items to the biradri and other poor families, three times covering 100, 80 and 140 families in a phased manner.

Prof. C.L Shivgotra while further deliberating said that the committee have since organized number of activities within and outside the complex, related to overall upliftment and progress of the biradri concerning education, self-help groups for the unemployed youth, exploring possibilities of small and microscale business for the unemployed youth, honouring of the different Sabhas, prominent citizens, sewadars and children and so on for the different roles they played. Birthday of Bharat Ratna Baba Sahib Dr. B.R. Ambedkar was also organized on 14th April, 2025 by inviting Guest speakers from outside JK UT. Additionally, in order to improve the academic culture in the Gurudwara Complex a project has been submitted to the NHPC under CSR for establishment of a public library and conference hall and a computer centre for the benefit of community and economically backward students.

It was further informed that to streamline the financial matters and record of the Sabha, a PAN Card has been issued in the name of Sabha and filing of regular ITR of the financial matters is also under process. There are plans of upgradation/renovation of existing Sarai, Halls and Shops of the Central Sabha for which financial and moral support of the Biradri shall be required in days to come.  The Sabha is also exploring possibilities of completion of the Dispensary Complex that was ignored by the previous President and his team, The Sabha office is already getting renovated.

The committee has also started organizing a monthly satsang on the last Sunday of every month in Gurudwara followed by Langar which was stopped with malafide about one decade back.  Further, the Sabha is organizing regular meetings of the committee members, senior and prominent citizens and All Presidents of the branches to chalk out strategies for overall development of the biradari and its youth.

Prof. G.L Thapa while elaborating on the elections of the Sabha informed that the election process that was stalled by the Ex-President after 2014 was also set in motion by way of constituting an election board as per Sabha constitution under the Chairmanship of Er. Darshan Kalsotra and Board have conducted membership drive of Biradari by extending date of membership enrolment twice so that all interested Biradri members can take membership to cast their vote in general body meeting or through elections to elect new President and General secretary of the Sabha as per constitution. But Ex-President Sh. PiranDitta has filed multiple litigations thereby creating hurdles in smooth conduct of the elections of the Sabha.

The newly renovated office of the Sabha was inaugurated by the octogenarian members of the biradri and they were felicitated on the occasion. It was informed that Shoba Yatra on the eve of 649thParaksh Utsav of Sant Shiromani Shree Guru Ravidass ji Maharaj shall be organized on 28th January, 2026 that shall start form head quarter Krishna Nagar and culminate at Branch GRDS Bahu forte. Similarly, Paraksh Utsav shall be celebrated on 1st February at Head Quarter Krishna Nagar Jammu.

In the end it was pledged by the adhoc working committee of the Sabha and the prominent members of the Biradri and advisory committee of the Sabha that no stone shall remain unturned by the present committee for overall development of the Sabha premises, Biradri and youth while working in close coordination with other communities and branch Sabha’s as well as all the social organizations.
