RAMBAN: On the concluding day of Phase-I celebrations of 150 glorious years of India’s National Song ‘Vande Mataram’, the District Administration Ramban, under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Alyas Khan, organized a series of thematic and patriotic events across the district.
A vibrant cultural programme was held at Government Model Higher Secondary School Ramban where Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Alyas Khan, accompanied by ADC Varunjeet Singh Charak, CEO M.S. Khan, and Principal GMHSS Ramban, presided over the celebrations. The event was jointly organized by the Education Department and the Department of Information & Public Relations (DIPR) Ramban.
Renowned local artists, including Jeeven Phari and Pardeep Singh, along with students of host school, BVM High School, Government Girls High School Ramban and National Academy Ramban, delivered soulful renditions of ‘Vande Mataram’ and other patriotic performances. Their presentations, filled with passion and national pride, beautifully reflected the spirit of unity and the timeless message of the national song.
Addressing the gathering, the Deputy Commissioner highlighted the enduring significance of ‘Vande Mataram’ in India’s freedom struggle and its continued relevance in inspiring citizens toward nation-building. He emphasized that the 150th anniversary is not just a celebration, but a reminder of the values of sacrifice, unity and devotion to the motherland. He encouraged youth to draw motivation from the song’s message and contribute positively to society.
As part of the day’s activities, a special screening of a documentary on the importance of ‘Vande Mataram’ was organised at Government Degree College Ramban, drawing enthusiastic participation from students and faculty.
Meanwhile, under the supervision of Tehsildar Rajgarh, Major Singh, the 150th Anniversary of ‘Vande Mataram’ was commemorated at Government Higher Secondary School Rajgarh. The celebrations featured Essay Writing, Painting, and Singing Competitions, all centered on the theme of Vande Mataram. Students showcased their creativity and patriotic fervour, making the event both inspiring and memorable. The day witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, artists and officials, marking a fitting conclusion to the Phase-I celebrations of this historic milestone.
