- Initiative aims empowerment of Farmers through e- Services
RAJOURI: Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Abhishek Sharma today handed over PoS Machines and Micro ATMs to Krishi Udhyamis (KUs) of Kisan Khidmat Ghars (KKGs) under the– Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (CSS HADP). The initiative aims to enable Krishi Udhyamis to provide a variety of online and financial services to the farming community at the grassroots level.
Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner said that the initiative will enhance accessibility and transparency in service delivery. “Krishi Udhyamis will be able to provide a range of services including financial transactions, CSC services, e-commerce platform on-boarding and agricultural inputs such as seeds, fertilizers and pesticides. Each KU will also be equipped with CSC IDs, further strengthening their role in rural service facilitation,” he added.
The CSS HADP is a flagship programme designed to promote sustainable agriculture, enhance productivity and improve farmers’ livelihoods through the convergence of technology and innovation. The introduction of PoS machines and Micro ATMs is expected to encourage digital transactions, ensure timely access to agricultural inputs and overall modernization of the farming ecosystem in the district.
Reaffirming the administration’s commitment, DC Abhishek Sharma said that leveraging technology for agricultural development and rural empowerment remains a top priority. He added that such initiatives would pave the way for a digitally inclusive, efficient and progressive agricultural economy in the district. The program was attended by. Rajesh Verma, Chief Agriculture Officer Rajouri, along with departmental staff, Faizan Manzoor, CSC e-Governance Head J&K and Ladakh and Mr. Shahid Malik, District Head CSC.
