SRINAGAR: A group of 26 probationary Indian Police Service (IPS) officers of the 77 RR batch from the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy (SVPNPA) visited Jammu and Kashmir and called on the Director General of Police, Shri Nalin Prabhat.

During their interaction with the DGP and other senior officers, the young officers were briefed on the unique operational and strategic challenges faced by the J&K Police in maintaining law and order in the region. They gained valuable insights into the pivotal role played by the J&K Police in counter-terrorism efforts and ensuring public safety in one of the most sensitive areas of the country.

The visit forms an important part of their training curriculum, offering ground-level exposure and an opportunity to understand the complexities of policing in conflict-affected zones. The interaction aimed to equip the future police leaders with a broader perspective on internal security, coordination with central forces, and community engagement in sensitive regions.
