NEW DELHI: The Centre for Narendra Modi Studies (CNMS-NaMo Kendra) has announced the launch of two landmark initiatives — the CNMS Bhartiya Nyay Council and the CNMS Women’s Council. These councils aim to bring India’s legal minds and empowered women to contribute actively towards nation-building and the vision of a Viksit Bharat.
Prof. Jasim Mohammad, Chairman of CNMS, said, “We believe that building a strong India requires collective wisdom from all sections of society. With the CNMS Bhartiya Nyay Council, we want to create a national platform where legal professionals—judges, advocates, jurists, researchers—can come together to suggest meaningful reforms, promote legal awareness, and strengthen the spirit of justice and nationalism.”
The CNMS Bhartiya Nyay Council will focus on election and judicial reforms, legal research, environmental laws, and sustainable development. It aims to bridge the gap between legal discourse and public awareness while offering expert insights on interpreting or modifying outdated laws in the age of globalization.
“India’s legal fraternity is deeply respected and powerful. Their engagement in policy dialogues and legal literacy campaigns will support our democratic framework. This council will be a platform for constructive discussion, actionable recommendations, and connecting the legal system with citizens,” Prof. Jasim added.
Simultaneously, the CNMS Women’s Council has been launched to unite women from various walks of life—teachers, homemakers, professionals, entrepreneurs, and social workers—who are eager to contribute to India’s development journey.
“Women are the backbone of society. Through the CNMS Women Led Council, we aim to amplify their voices, provide space for leadership, and promote women-led development schemes of the government,” said Prof. Jasim Mohammad.
The council will conduct regular sessions on women-centric issues including education, health, safety, digital literacy, and entrepreneurship. It will provide opportunities for learning, collaboration, and raising important concerns through national-level platforms.
“We want women to come forward, take leadership roles, and help shape the future of the country. Every woman has the power to make a difference, and CNMS will support her journey,” he emphasized. Both councils are currently accepting membership applications.
