SHOPIAN: In its continued crackdown against drug menace, Police in Shopian recovered 1.2Kgs of Cannabis from a residential house in Zainapora. Acting on specific information, Police Station Zainapora registered a case under FIR No. 117/2025 of NDPS Act and obtained a search warrant from the Hon’ble Court of Chief Judicial Magistrate 1st Class Shopian. Subsequently, a team from Police Station Zainapora accompanied by the Executive Magistrate 1st Class, raided the house of Khursheed Ahmad Itoo resident of Takiya Reben Zainapora. During the search, 1.2Kgs of Cannabis-like substance was seized. However, the accused is absconding and efforts are underway to effect his arrest.
