- Slams BJP Government's failure to address key issues in Billawar constituency
BILLAWAR: Dr. Manohar Lal Sharma, Former Minister today conducted a tour of various villages in the Billawar Constituency, including Mandli, Dharamkote, Dharmani, and Chowan (Galak). During his visit, Dr. Sharma criticized the BJP Government for its failure to address pressing issues affecting the region.
In a scathing critique, Dr. Sharma highlighted the government's shortcomings in providing employment opportunities to educated youth, despite being in power for over a decade. He also expressed concern over the plight of daily rated workers, adhoc employees, and casual laborers, who continue to wait for regularization. Furthermore, Dr. Sharma demanded that the government take concrete steps to provide relief to flood-affected people, control the rising prices of essential commodities, and combat the menace of drug abuse in Jammu and Kashmir.
"The BJP Government has failed to deliver on its promises, and the people of Billawar are paying the price," Dr. Sharma said. "It's time for the government to take responsibility and work towards the welfare of the people, rather than pursuing politics as usual."Dr. Sharma's tour was attended by prominent leaders, including Thakur Budi Singh, Sham Spolia, Ram Lal Bhatti, and Capt Girdhari Lal, among others. The Former Minister's visit has sparked hope among the locals, who are eager for change and meaningful development in the region.
Dr Manohar claimed that BJP government's failure to read the pulse of the people of Jammu and Kashmir has been laid bare once again. Despite being in power for over a decade, the government has failed to address the pressing issues affecting the region, including unemployment, regularization of daily rated workers, and relief for flood-affected people. The people's frustration and discontent are palpable, and it's clear that the BJP government has lost touch with the ground reality, said Dr Manohar.
The government's inability to control drug abuse, price rise, and provide employment opportunities has created a sense of despair among the youth. The people of J&K are looking for change, and it's time for the government to take notice. The BJP government's failure to read the pulse of the people is a recipe for disaster. It's time for them to introspect and course-correct before it's too late, added Dr Manohar.
