- Takes stock of various adopted interventions
SRINAGAR: Director Agriculture Kashmir, Sartaj Ahmad Shah today visited vegetable Seed Multiplication (SM) Farm Gangbug srinagar and took stock of different agriculture activities there. He inspected the recently installed machinery and equipments for packaging of seeds and other concerned activities. He visited different sections of the Farm and reviewed the various interventions adopted there.
Speaking on the occasion Director Agriculture said that the departmental farms are the assets with the department and have an inevitable role to play amid the changing global agriculture scenario. Our immediate goal is to achieve the maximum output (in terms of seed production of different agricultural crop) from our departmental seed multiplication farms, he added.
The Director asked the concerned officers, technical experts to work on a mission mode so that all the set targets viz-a-viz assured availability of quality seeds of different vegetable, agriculture crops to the farming community could be reached successfully. He was accompanied by SPO and some senior officers of the department.
