POONCH: Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Ashok Kumar Sharma  on Saturday chaired a meeting of the District Level Implementation Committee (DLIC) to review and assess applications submitted under the Mission YUVA initiative. After detailed scrutiny, the Committee approved 282 cases for further processing under the scheme.

The Deputy Commissioner emphasized the need for timely financial assistance to youth seeking to establish self-employment ventures. He issued strict directions to bank authorities to significantly improve the pace of sanctioning and disbursement of approved cases. Highlighting the crucial role of Mission YUVA in empowering unemployed youth, he instructed all stakeholders to ensure applicants do not face unnecessary procedural hurdles.

The Committee also reviewed the status of pending applications, discussed challenges in processing, and deliberated on measures to streamline the workflow. Emphasis was laid on strengthening coordination between departments and financial institutions to maximize the scheme outreach and effectiveness.

The meeting concluded with a collective commitment from all members to accelerate implementation and extend full support to Mission YUVA beneficiaries across the district. The meeting was attended by the General Manager, District Industries Centre (DIC) Poonch, the Deputy Director Employment Poonch, and other DLIC members.
