KULGAM: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Athar Aamir Khan today chaired a comprehensive review meeting of the Rural Development Department and Panchayati Raj (RDD&PR) at the Mini Secretariat to assess the functioning, progress, and implementation status of various schemes across the district.
During the meeting, the DC took a detailed review of progress under major programmes and schemes including District Capex, CDF, MGNREGA, PMAY-G, SBM, RGSA, and other initiatives. The chair was informed that under MGNREGA, 22,683,032 person-days have been generated so far.
He instructed concerned officers to complete the eKYC of workers and improve coverage under social security schemes. Reviewing the progress under PMAY-G, the DC was apprised that out of 5,867 sanctioned units, 5,515 units have been completed. While reviewing the District Capex budget, the DC instructed officers to ensure timely completion of all works and expedite pending estimates.
He also reviewed progress in solid waste management, including door-to-door waste collection. Underscoring the importance of field monitoring, the DC stressed maximum onsite inspections to ensure quality standards. He further directed officers to expedite the construction of Panchayat Ghars and remove bottlenecks hindering timely completion.
The DC urged all officers to scale up execution, ensure time-bound completion, and maintain high quality of works. The meeting was attended by JD Planning, Malik Suhail; ACD,Bilal Ahmad Kamgar; Executive Engineer REW, all BDOs, AEEs and other officers.
