JAMMU: The Indian Institute of ManagementJammu (IIM Jammu)under the leadership of Prof. B.S. Sahay, Director, IIM Jammu inaugurated a three-day Dealer Development Program for Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL), organized in partnership with NSE Academy, on 16th July 2025 at the Nyaya Classroom, Vedanta MDP Centre, IIM Jammu.
The programme aims to empower HPCL dealers with strategic management insights, branding and marketing tools, and leadership capabilities to navigate todayâs dynamic fuel retail environment. Designed under IIM Jammuâs Executive Education and Consultancy (EE&C) initiatives, the program blends academic rigor with practical business applications for dealer partners of HPCL.
The inaugural ceremony commenced with the lighting of the lamp, followed by the welcome address by Dr. Vinod C. Durge, Program Director, IIM Jammu who provided an overview of the programâs objectives and learning outcomes. This was followed by Prof. Sanjeev Pathak, Chairperson, EE&C, IIM Jammu who spoke about the expanding scope and impact of Executive Education at IIM Jammu in addressing contemporary industry needs.
The Chief Guest, Mr. Tejinder Pal Singh Cheema, Deputy General Manager â Retail Engineering,Analytics & Branding, North Frontier Zone (NFZ), HPCL addressed the participants and appreciated IIM Jammu for curating a robust program. He underlined the importance of upskilling in todayâs evolving fuel retail landscape and encouraged participants to adopt technology, data-driven insights, and brand value creation to stay ahead in the competitive market.
The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Baljeet Singh, Program Director, IIM Jammu followed by the national anthem and group photo. Present on the occasion were Deepak Raveendra Barnwal, Chief Regional Manager, HPCL, J & K; Shri Mayank Gupta, Senior Sales Manager · Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited, J & K; Shri Siddharth Mudgal, Deputy Manager, Executive Education, NSE Academy; Shri Akash Gupta, Senior Executive, NSE Academy.
The program, which runs from 16th to 18th July 2025, includes sessions on competition, strategy, marketing, digital transformation, future of retailing, leadership, and customer relationship management. It brings together expert faculty from IIM Jammu and senior executives from HPCL, fostering a collaborative learning environment for high-impact dealer development.
