IIM Jammu celebrates Constitution Day with pride, unity, and exceptional displays of patriotism

JAMMU: Indian Institute of Management Jammu commemorated National Constitution Day on 26 November 2025 with great enthusiasm at the Mandapam Auditorium. The event witnessed the gracious presence of Prof. Jabir Ali, Dean, Faculty and Research, IIM Jammu, and Dr. Harsha Jariwala, Co-Chairperson, Student Affairs, IIM Jammu, along with other faculty members of the institute.

The ceremony began with the collective reading of the Preamble, reaffirming the institute’s commitment to the values and vision enshrined in the Constitution of India. The atmosphere was filled with patriotic spirit as students took the stage with powerful speeches reflecting upon the constitutional ethos and its relevance in contemporary society.The event showcased an engaging lineup of performances including soulful singing and a vibrant dance presentation by students, celebrating India’s unity, diversity, and democratic heritage.

One of the key highlights of the day was a thought-provoking debate by IIM Jammu students, offering sharp insights into India’s rich constitutional legacy and encouraging deeper reflection on civic responsibility.The event culminated with the national anthem, marking a dignified end to the celebration of this significant national occasion. The day celebrated the spirit of the Constitution through inspiring speeches, vibrant cultural performances, and wholehearted student participation, reflecting the institute’s commitment to national values. 

In the evening, the courtyard came alive with pride and patriotic fervour as a spectacular BSF Dog Show was organized on the eve of on BSF raising Day. The display of discipline, agility, and unmatched courage by the canine squad left the audience deeply inspired, reflecting the unwavering spirit and dedication of the Border Security Force. Following this enthralling showcase, the BSF Band took centre stage with a stirring performance of patriotic melodies that resonated across the campus.

Their powerful rendition of iconic tunes elevated the emotional intensity of the gathering, celebrating India’s rich heritage, courage, and national pride.Adding to the patriotic sentiment were heartfelt musical performances by Dr. Nadeem Younus Zargar, Administrative Officer, IIM Jammu, and MBA student Chirag Dubey. Their soulful voices paid a touching tribute to the nation and its timeless ideals, further enriching the atmosphere with emotion and reverence.The evening culminated on a profoundly moving note with a BSF patriotic song, followed by the national anthem.

The entire IIM Jammu fraternity rose in a standing ovation, expressing their heartfelt respect and admiration for the BSF personnel and the values they embody. The environment echoed with unity, gratitude, and the unwavering spirit of nationalism. Cmdr. Kesavan Baskkaran, Chief Administrative Officer, IIM Jammu, proposed the vote of thanks, acknowledging the exemplary efforts of the BSF team, the performers, and all contributors who made the event a memorable and heartfelt tribute to the nation. IIM Jammu reaffirms its unwavering dedication to nurturing future leaders who uphold the constitutional principles of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity, thereby contributing to the strengthening of the nation’s democratic fabric.
