JAMMU: The Department of Computer Science and Engineering,Central University of Jammu organized a two-day celebration on the occasion on IEEE Day Celebration, Tech Sanskriti 2025, on October 6–7, 2025under the mentorship of Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof. Sanjeev Jain and guidance of Prof. Dinesh Kumar, HoD, CSE & Coordination of Dr. Suresh Limkar, Event Coordinator.The events featured a blend of innovation-driven competitions, keynote talk and expert session followed by the formal inauguration of the IEEE Computational Intelligence Society (CIS) Student Branch Chapter.

On 6th October2025 the Hackathon named Tech-Sanskriti 2025 and Poster Competition were held, encouraging students to showcase their creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. Team Nexus emerged as the winner of the Hackathon, followed by Team Unicorn as the runner-up. In the Poster Competition, Cherry Bohra secured the first position, while Prachi bagged the second prize.

Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof. Sanjeev Jain congratulated winners of the Hackathon, poster competition and appreciated the CSE department efforts for organizing such events where student’s holistic development take place.The inaugural ceremony took place on 7thOctober 2025, with a Keynote Talk by Sh. Ashish  Kuvelkar, Ex-Scientist G, C-DAC Puneon “Introduction of HPC” and an expert session by Sh. Ranbir S. Sedhe, IEEE International Client Services & University Partnership Program Manager on “How to write a quality research paper”. Sh. Ashish Kuvelkar talk emphasized on the need of HPC, its concepts, architectures, and importance of parallel computing, highlighting the PARAM supercomputer architecture, its evolution.

Key applications of HPC in science and engineering were discussed, along with challenges, tools, and future trends in this field. Sh. Ranbir S. Sedhe talk focused on structuring a research paper, selecting impactful topics, and conducting effective literature reviews. Key tips on clarity, coherence, citation practices, and avoiding common mistakes were also discussed to enhance publication quality. Sh. Ashish Kuvelkar, and Prof. Dinesh Kumar HoD CSE, jointly inaugurated the IEEE CIS Student Branch Chapter of Central University of Jammu. Prof. Dinesh Kumar shared insights on the importance of computational intelligence and the opportunities IEEE offers for research and innovation.The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Suresh Limkar, who appreciated the efforts of the organizing team and the enthusiastic participation of students.
