BANDIPORA: District Administration Bandipora, Social Welfare Department Bandipora, in collaboration with the District Drug De-Addiction Centre (DDAC) Bandipora, organised Yoga sessions under the Community Peer Led Intervention (CPLI) initiative as part of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan at Government Boys Secondary School Onagam and Government Higher Secondary School Aloosa.

The programme aimed to promote physical and mental well-being among students and to spread awareness about the importance of adopting a healthy and drug-free lifestyle.

Resource persons from the District Drug De-Addiction Centre guided the students through various yoga postures and breathing exercises, highlighting the role of yoga in stress management and self-discipline.

Students and teachers actively participated in the sessions and appreciated the efforts of the District Administration and Social Welfare Department for organising such meaningful activities. Officials emphasized that such programmes play a vital role in channelising youth energy towards positivity and strengthening the fight against substance abuse in the district.

The initiative is part of the ongoing awareness drive under Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan to create a drug-free Bandipora through sustained community engagement and educational outreach.
