JAMMU: The Department of Education, University of Jammu, observed the third day of Library Week today, with an engaging Book Reading Activity, reflecting the department’s commitment to nurturing strong reading habits and intellectual curiosity among students. The event commenced with a warm welcome by Professional Assistant Sonika Sharma. 

The session was graced by the Chief Guest, Prof. Pankaj Srivastava, whose presence added academic depth and motivation to the day’s proceedings. A thoughtfully crafted token of appreciation was presented to Prof. Pankaj Srivastava by Prof. Renu Nanda, acknowledging his gracious presence and support for the Library Week initiatives.

During the Book Reading Activity, students presented expressive readings from selected texts, capturing the essence of their literary choices and showcasing their confidence, articulation, and reflective engagement with the material. Prof. Pankaj Srivastava appreciated the students’ efforts and highlighted the significance of reading.

The Library Week celebration concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Sonika Sharma. The event successfully promoted creativity, reading, and intellectual growth among learners. It was a day filled with inspiring activities and meaningful events. The celebration aimed to foster a love for reading and learning.
