AWANTIPORA: As part of the Civic Action Programme, Police in Awantipora distributed education kits among school-going students from economically backward families in Tral. The event was held at Government Higher Secondary School Lurgam. SSP Awantipora, along with SDPO Tral, DySP DAR, SHO PS Tral and other officers, distributed the education kits to the students.
The school kits included school bags, notebooks, pens, pencils, lunch boxes, and other essential stationery items. Shoes and socks were also distributed among the beneficiaries. Speaking on the occasion, SSP Awantipora said, we believe that education is the key to empowering students and enabling them to live with dignity, self-respect, and confidence.
Moreover, at District Police Lines Awantipora, Police distributed wheelchairs among specially-abled persons, as well as sewing machines and blankets among needy families. The initiative was carried out under the Civic Action Programme with the aim of supporting vulnerable sections of society and ensuring better livelihood and comfort. The efforts of J&K Police were widely appreciated by parents and beneficiaries, who expressed their gratitude for the support provided by the department.
