DODA: To mark Nikshay Diwas, the Health Department Doda organized a special programme at the Conference Hall of CMO Office. The event aimed to support and encourage Tuberculosis (TB) patients by distributing nutritional kits under the National TB Elimination Programme (NTEP). A total of 50 beneficiaries received free nutritional kits, which will support them for a period of six (06) months.
The programme was attended by Dr. Sat Lal Manhas, Deputy Chief Medical Officer; Dr. Raj Kumar Sharma, District Health Officer; Dr. Farooq Runyal, Eye Specialist GMC Doda and Umar Anayat, Epidemiologist. Among others present on the occasion were Irshad Malik, Arshad Latief Natnoo, Zubair Ahmed, Kousar Hussain and Mudassir Ahmed from the TU AH GMC Doda team.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Raj Kumar Sharma briefed patients about the nutritional kits and highlighted the importance of proper diet and treatment for complete recovery from tuberculosis. He also educated the beneficiaries about governmentâs continued efforts to eliminate TB and ensure better health outcomes. The event reflected the Health Departmentâs commitment to strengthening community engagement and providing holistic care to TB patients as part of the national mission to achieve a TB-free India by 2025.
