KATRA: The National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of SMVDU successfully organised a refreshing and transformative five-day online meditation under the banner of 'National workshop- Inner Harmony- Five Days of Meditation and Renewal'. The weeklong sessions were conducted by the expert Smt. Lalitashree Rajesh, a certified yoga and meditation teacher.  It was held in the early morning hours, the sessions saw massive participation from students across the university.

Although each session lasted for one hour, students expressed that it never felt long—thanks to the calm, engaging, and comforting presence of the expert. Each day began with simple warm-up exercises aimed at activating the body and sharpening concentration. The expert guided students with gentle, soothing instructions, creating a stress-free environment where every participant felt calm and centred.

She emphasized maintaining a straight spinal posture to enhance awareness and improve mental stability.The expert introduced students to various meditation techniques like Anapana meditation leading to Vipashyana meditation, yoga nidra meditation, body and mind relaxing techniques and explaining their significance and methods in detail. Her teachings helped the participants connect deeply with the practice of mindful breathing.

Towards the end of each class,  10–15 minutes doubt clearing sessions were there for thevolunteers.The five-day series ended on a note of positivity, mindfulness, and collective appreciation, leaving the participants inspired to continue their meditation journey.Meditation is not an escape—it is a return to yourself, a homecoming to peace.
