UDHAMPUR: An awareness programme on the Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) and Jammu & Kashmir Rural Employment Generation Programme JKREGP was today organised by the Khadi & Village Industries Board (KVIB) Udhampur here at Tikri Mand West. The event drew a large gathering, including a significant number of women participants. The event aimed to inform the general public about the benefits available under PMEGP and JKREGP.
The officials highlighted the easy loan facilities offered under the twin schemes through recognised financial institutions to encourage youth to establish self-employment ventures.
Dy CEO Khadi & Village Industries Board (KVIB) Tilak Raj and District Officer KVIB Yogesh Joshi informed the participants that individuals can set up business ventures in the manufacturing, service and trading sectors under the subsidized and supportive framework of PMEGP and JKREGP. They also sensitized participants about the procedures and formalities involved in registration and the submission of application forms under the twin schemes. The camp was attended by Director RSETI, Ex-Sarpanch Tikri A, Ex-Panch Mand West, Naib Tehsildar Tikri and JK Bank branch heads Tikri.
