UDHAMPUR: Government Degree College Majalta, under the guidance of the Principal Prof. Dr  Shalini Sharma and the supervision of Program Coordinator Prof. Naresh Kumar, organized a quiz competition on the theme ‘Vande Mataram  symbol of National Unity’ to commemorate 150 years of the National Song.

A total of 12 students participated in the quiz, divided into four groups A, B, C and D, each comprising three students. Group- A Isha Rani, Diksha Sharma and Meenakshi Devi secured the first position, while group- B consisting of Ananya, Kajal and Shivani stood second. The group- C Meenakshi, Manik and Neha and group- D Vinay, Vikrant and Neeraj bagged the third and fourth positions, respectively. The event witnessed an enthusiastic response with active participation from students and staff members.

Earlier, the program commenced with an inspiring address by the Principal, Prof. Dr Shalini Sharma, followed by an event briefing by Dr. Showkat Mir and Dr. Suresh Singh, members of the organizing committee.

The competition was judged by Prof. Harvinder Kour and Dr. Baljeet Kour. They appreciated the knowledge and enthusiasm displayed by the participants. The organizing committee expressed sincere gratitude to Prof. Chander Mohan, Prof. Dalip Kumar, Prof. Anuradha Chowdhary and Dr. Mohammad Abass for their valuable support and contribution in making the event a grand success.
